An example menu.
How to add a new menu item
To create a new menu item, make sure the second
Meedio item is selected as in the picture above, then click the
button and select a module from the drop down list. This
will create a new menu item with a default name.
To change the name or "caption" of the menu item, first select the correct item by clicking on its name. You can then either click the name again or press the F2 key on the keyboard to highlight the item. Once the name is highlighted you can type in a new name. The item can also be renamed from the General tab of the item's properties.

Properties common to all menu items

General properties of a menu item.
Caption - This is the name of the menu item as it will appear in your on-screen menu. Changing the text here will rename the menu item.
Description - This area allows you to enter a more descriptive label for the menu item.
Icon image - To set a specific
icon to be displayed in the Meedio menu you can type the path to the picture
file or, optionally, browse for the image by pressing the
button. Icon images can be in BMP,
GIF, JPEG,
JPG, or PNG
format.
Background image - An alternate
background image can be used for each screen rather than the default background
of the selected theme. To set the background image you can type the path
to the picture file or, optionally, browse for the image by pressing the
button. Background images can be in BMP,
GIF, JPEG,
JPG, or PNG
format.
Sound - A custom sound can be
played when entering a menu item's screen. To set the sound file you can
type the path to the file or, optionally, browse for the file by pressing
the
button. Sound files can be in WAV,
MP3 or AIFF
format.
Jump target name - this is an arbitrary name for the module to be used for creating jump commands. For more on using jump commands with a remote or keyboard see the Input section.
Creating sub-menus
To create a new sub-menu, add a new group module. You can then rename
it to the title you wish. With the title highlighted, you can then proceed
to add additional modules below it. This can be accomplished by clicking
to insert a brand new menu item. Alternatively you can
copy, or cut an existing menu item into the sub-menu. For help on copying,
pasting, or cutting a menu item see the tips
section under How
to add a new menu item.
A group module will create a new button that will open a new sub-menu of items to choose from.
