In its October 2004 issue, the German PC Magazin conducted a test of media center software. Among the applications reviewed was Sceneo TVcentral, which is based on an OEM platform licensed from Meedio.

Although their evaluation was based on an early beta of TVcentral, the magazine gave TVcentral the highest score of 81 points out of 100, compared to 64 points for ShowShifter, 60 points for Pinnacle MediaCenter, and 47 points for CyberLink PowerCinema.
